Almost one hundred "GOYAns," coaches, advisors and relatives were in Dallas on Martin Luther King weekend to participate in the Metropolis of Denver GOYA Basketball Tournament. The tournament was the best attended tournament in the history of the Metropolis of Denver with nearly 1,000 participants and hundreds of more observers. Approximately 1400 people participated in the Divine Liturgy on Sunday.
It should go without saying that the "GOYAns" and all those who participated had a ball. Annunciation brought two girls teams and three boys teams and all five teams played very well. The junior girls team placed third and brought home and impressive trophy!
The weekend was also highlighted by fun Saturday night at Gilley's and a formal banquet on Sunday evening.
